Summing up DogHouse Pizza in a few words is one of the hardest questions I’ve ever had to answer. DogHouse is the place I’ve been dreaming about ever since I was 16. I didn’t have the specifics nailed down back then – food, atmosphere, specialties, events…I didn’t know anything about any of these – but I knew DogHouse had to exist.
I began working toward making my dreams a reality by going to culinary school in Chicago. From there, I ended up in the San Juan Islands, then in Denver, then back in Chicago again. Now I’m down here, with my years of experience, in sunny Melbourne and I’m ready to hit the ground running.
Our food is a homage to what I grew up eating in the Midwest. I wanted to bring that flavor to Florida. From Horseshoes to Chicago thin crust pizza, from Gobblers to Gut Busters, from Gyros to Poutine – I’m bringing the Midwest to Florida. This isn’t fast food slopped on your plate. This is food made right. It might take a little longer, but dig in, I bet you’re going to like it.
